The patients underwent karyotypic analysis to determine the syndrome subtype, followed by echocardiography on each case to evaluate the presence of congenital cardiac anomalies. The qualitative, exploratory study, undertaken between February and July 2021 at institutions in seven Pakistani cities, namely Taxila, Kamrah, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Lahore, Multan, and Karachi, included both full-time and part-time health professions educators of either gender, after receiving ethical approval from the Islamic International Medical College, Riphah International University, Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Semi-structured, individual online interviews were conducted to collect data, drawing on Professional Identity theory. Thematic analysis was performed on the verbatim transcribed and coded interviews.
Of the 14 participants, 7 (50%) exhibited expertise and experience in additional areas beyond health professions education, compared to the 7 (50%) who maintained a singular focus on health professions education. Analyzing the subject distribution, a total of 5 (35%) subjects were residents of Rawalpindi; 3 (21%) were serving in various locations, encompassing Peshawar; 2 (14%) were assigned to Taxila; and 1 (75%) subject was sampled each from Lahore, Karachi, Kamrah, and Multan. 31 codes, derived from the accumulated data, were classified under 3 main themes and 15 more specific sub-themes. The core subjects of discussion encompassed the identity of health professions education as a distinct academic field, its future trajectory, and its long-term viability.

To gauge the comfort level, comprehension, power, and assurance of critical care staff in the paediatric intensive care unit of a tertiary care hospital in connection to safety huddle implementation.
In Karachi, at the Aga Khan University Hospital, a descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out involving physicians, nurses, and paramedics who were members of the safety huddle, from September 2020 to February 2021. Staff views regarding this activity were determined through open-ended questions, subsequently quantified using a Likert scale. STATA 15 was the tool used for data analysis.
From the 50 participants, 27 were female (54%) and 23 were male (46%). Of the total subjects, 26, representing 52%, were aged between 20 and 30, whereas 24 subjects, or 48%, were aged 31 to 50. Safety huddles were consistently held, as 37 (74%) of the subjects strongly affirmed; 42 (84%) felt empowered to voice patient safety concerns; and 37 (74%) valued the huddles' contributions. On top of this, 45 (90%) participants explicitly indicated that their daily huddles brought about improved clarity concerning their tasks. To assess the relationship between muscle length, muscle strength, balance, and functional status in children with diplegic spastic cerebral palsy.
In Pakistan's Swabi, a cross-sectional study was undertaken at the Physical Therapy Department of Chal Foundation and Fatima Physiotherapy Centre from February to July 2021, involving children aged 4 to 12 years who had been diagnosed with diplegic spastic cerebral palsy. To ascertain the strength of the back and lower limb muscles, manual muscle testing was utilized. Goniometry was employed to evaluate the length of lower limb muscles, highlighting any instances of tightness.
